Position/Title: Maintenance Worker (full-time/seasonal)

Appointment: May 2025 – September 2025

Reports To: Lyman Campus Manager

Position Summary

 We are looking for a Seasonal Maintenance Worker to support our team during the busy months. The primary focus of this role will be interior painting, along with some light outdoor work such as trash checks. Additional duties will include helping with the relocation of classroom furniture and assisting maintenance technicians with various tasks. 

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Interior Painting: Prepare and paint interior walls, doors, trim, and other surfaces as needed. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
     
  • Furniture Moving: Assist in the relocation of classroom or office furniture as part of the summer setup and teardown.
     
  • Outdoor Maintenance: Perform minor outdoor tasks such as checking and emptying trash cans and ensuring grounds are tidy.
     
  • Assisting Maintenance Technicians: Help maintenance technicians with a variety of tasks, including basic repairs, cleaning, and general maintenance duties.
     
  • Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
     
  • Follow safety protocols and report any safety concerns or issues.

Requirements

Candidate must be at least 18 years old with a valid Ohio driver's license and safe driving record. Additional qualities should include:

  • Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Experience in painting or general maintenance is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy furniture and equipment (up to [50 lbs / 23 kg]).
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and painting supplies.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions from senior staff.
  • Ability to work in a team and assist with various maintenance tasks as needed.
