Job Title: Maintenance Worker (Marine Vessels)
Location: Multiple locations, including shipyards
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
 

Job Summary:

New York Water Tours is looking for skilled and dependable Maintenance Workers to help maintain and renovate our fleet of 7 passenger vessels (90’–120’, multi-deck). Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and experienced in general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. This is a hands-on position requiring physical stamina and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance on vessels, including painting, cleaning, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical tasks

• Assist with vessel renovations and finish work

• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively

• Move equipment, furniture, and supplies on and around vessels

• Prevent and treat rust on metal surfaces

• Maintain cleanliness of carpets, decks, and interior finishes

• Apply knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

• Assist engineers with repair and maintenance tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of general maintenance experience (painting, cleaning, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.)

• Valid driver's license required

• Ability to lift 50lbs overhead and stand for long periods

• Willing to travel to multiple work locations, including shipyards

• Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

Schedule:

• 8 to 10-hour shifts

• Monday to Friday

• Overtime and weekend work as needed
