Maintenance Worker - Set-Up Department Mechanic

The Maintenance Mechanic will set up, oversee the performance and maintain production machinery. 

Shift: 

Monday thru Friday 

05:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

With the possibility of occasional weekends

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Set up and adjusts multiple types of machines in the Set-Up Department 
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service to machines on a definite schedule 
• Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines
• Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently
• Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance  
• Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary
• Collaborates with product manager regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required 
• Oversees operation of these machines and makes adjustments for the best quality and quantity of production 
• Job may also include minor maintenance of the building, wash room, equipment, light fixtures, fire pails and extinguishers
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Experience: Working with Set-Up machinery is a plus but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull and move as needed to reach, clean and service machinery
• Must be able to visually inspect machines
• Must  be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
