Job Description - Maintenance/Transportation Coordinator



Full-time


Description

The maintenance will serve as the liaison between Strive and property management company contracted with Strive and/or any other outsourced maintenance solution organization. Will help complete and/or organize and schedule all property maintenance work orders that need to be created. Will also ensure that preventative property maintenance is scheduled and completed.

The transportation is responsible for the overall organization of the transportation fleet to include record keeping, repairs, and reporting.


Requirements

  • Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
  • Completion of basic maintenance tasks: position will be responsible for basic maintenance routine and modest repairs and general maintenance.
  • Vetting and securing sub-contractors - locates sub-contractors to provide the required more extensive and specialized maintenance endeavors
  • Liaison Duties – Assures that all maintenance work orders are completed by the maintenance company timely and accurately. This position has financial discretion approve/reject proposed work orders. This position will work directly with the Purchasing Manager to plan for and budget large maintenance work order items.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in Maintenance.
  • Assists the purchasing manager in selling unneeded vehicles.
  • Evaluates vehicle needs by location and makes changes accordingly.
  • Assists the purchasing manager in obtaining vehicle titles and registration from DMV in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintains vehicle safety equipment, first aid kits, traffic triangles, ice scrapers, etc., for entire fleet.
  • Maintains vehicle fire extinguishers, placement, and annual servicing with contractors in a timely manner.
  • Maintains vehicle key box in office with spare keys for each vehicle.
  • Maintains placement of vehicle insurance cards and registration cards in each vehicle.
  • Maintains digital files of vehicle repairs & maintenance repairs on the R Drive by utilizing PDF, Excel documents, etc. And keeps supervisor apprised of charges over $1,000.00. Any purchases need to be approved by the Purchasing Manager.
  • Maintains digital maintenance records on the R Drive by utilizing Word documents, Excel documents, etc., and keeps supervisor apprised of changes in location to digital records in a timely manner.
  • Maintains vehicle inspection and mileage logbooks for each vehicle.
  • Maintains and updates Transportation Operating Procedure Manuals. Ensured updated information is distributed accordingly and approved by supervisor.
  • Maintains an assigned transportation vehicle outfitted with items needed for minor repairs and emergency responses to vehicle needs or breakdowns.
  • Respond and report to supervisor to traffic accidents or incidents involving fleet vehicles and assist with filling out the incident report and information gathering, police reports, photos, and towing.
  • Responds and report to supervisor to vehicle break-ins and vandalism to assist with filling out the incident report and information gathering, photos, police reports and insurance claims.
  • Receives and processes maintenance requests for vehicle repair needs.
  • Schedules for vehicle repairs and coordinates drop off, pick up, and payment. Anything over $1,000.00 would need supervisor’s approval.
  • Coordinates drop off and pick up of “loaner” vehicles for programs that have a vehicle in for repair.
  • Responds to minor repairs such as windshield wipers, dead batteries, flat tires, etc.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned in transportation.

Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge/Licenses:

  • 21 Years of Age.
  • H.S. Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets STRIVE standards
  • Personal vehicle for work-related travel.
  • Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Two years’ experience in general maintenance type work
  • Experience with coordinating larger maintenance endeavors preferred.

Work Environment: Job functions are generally performed in office environment, with repairs necessary at residential and vocational settings. Driving is required on a regular basis.


Salary Description

20.00 per hour
