Hours: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Overtime as needed)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee facility and equipment maintenance at a food manufacturing plant in Owasso. This leadership role will be responsible for ensuring optimal equipment performance, minimizing production downtime, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise maintenance team members, providing leadership and support.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of maintenance work orders.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Conduct inspections and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Manage repairs and ensure work is performed to industry and safety standards.
• Enforce OSHA, USDA, FDA, and internal safety and environmental protocols.
• Coordinate equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records, including work orders, inventory logs, and performance reports.
• Collaborate with production and QA to resolve equipment-related issues affecting output and product quality.
• Oversee budget and identify cost-saving opportunities in maintenance operations.
• Train and mentor team members in safety procedures and technical skills.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and service providers.
• Promote a safety-first, continuous improvement culture within the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a food production or meat processing facility.
• Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Strong leadership, team-building, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with PLCs, frequency controls, and various control systems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of welding, pipefitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus).

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Ability to lift 60+ lbs unassisted and perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in a cold, climate-controlled production environment (-40°F to -45°F).
• Exposure to raw meat, marinades, and industrial noise levels; hearing protection required.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hats, smocks, gloves, and safety footwear must be worn in production areas.
