Summary
The Mammographer/QC Technologist is responsible for performing mammograms, x-rays, and Dexa exams to help diagnose and monitor various medical conditions related to breast cancer. The technologist works in conjunction with the Imaging Manager, ensuring compliance with the MQSA and state standards. Delivery of quality patient care is the imaging department goal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Perform X-rays, Mammograms, Dexa Bone Density, and Dexa Body Composition scans.
· Prepare patient and exam room for procedure.
· Evaluate the quality of images to ensure they meet the standards required for accurate diagnosis.
· Review patient history.
· Re-stock exam room following a procedure.
· Start-up equipment daily.
· Perform a monthly X-ray QC.
· Monitor and contact mammogram patients who require follow-ups (i.e. biopsy, MRI, ultrasound, etc.).
· Contact medical facilities for follow-up items (i.e. reports, images, and/or prior studies) needed to review for comparisons or for completion of a current exam.
Required Skills/Abilities
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Strong organizational, time management and attention to detail skills.
· Possess problem-solving skills, be self-motivated, and strive for professionalism.
· Ability to work in group setting as well as work independently.
· Good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and/or Experience
· Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
· 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training
· ARRT Registered Technologist of Radiology and Mammography RT (R) (M)
· CPR certified
· Texas State License
