Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Completion of an approved Mammography Technology program.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
• Current Texas Medical Board (MRT) license (or temporary license), is required.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R).
• Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M).

Skills & Experience:

• Ability to safely lift/maneuver patients in collaboration with others.
• A strong commitment to advancing health through teamwork, compassion, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct precise mammography exams, ensuring patient comfort and compliance with radiation safety protocols.
• Prepare and educate patients about the procedure, administer contrast when necessary, and position patients for optimal imaging quality.
• Perform quality assurance checks on equipment and assist with accreditation applications (e.g., ACR).
• Accurately enter and monitor patient data within the system.
• Address emergencies and take on-call responsibilities as needed.
• Adhere to organizational policies, ensuring patient, staff, and visitor safety.
• Serve as a mentor, resource, and preceptor to less experienced staff.
