Job Description - Mammography Technologist - Float Pool

Mammography Technologist – Float Pool | Northern Virginia | Weekdays Only | Sign-on Bonus

Fairfax Radiology Centers — the largest radiology practice in Northern Virginia — is seeking a Mammography Technologist (Radiologic Technologist, ARRT RT[R]) to join our Float Pool team.

In this role, you’ll travel between our outpatient imaging centers in Northern Virginia to provide high-quality mammography and DXA services. Each day may look a little different, but your professionalism, empathy, and technical expertise ensure every patient has a positive experience.

About the Role
This is a full-time, benefitted position.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
8-hour shifts, weekdays only
No weekends, no holidays, no call
Free on-site parking

What You’ll Do

Independently perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams
Perform DXA bone density scans as needed
Float between multiple outpatient diagnostic imaging centers in Northern Virginia
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction while acquiring high-quality images
Collaborate with radiologists and team members to support efficient workflow

What You’ll Bring

Active ARRT certification in Radiography (RT[R])
Virginia RT license required
BLS certification required
Mammography experience preferred; cross-training available in mammography and DXA
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to adapt quickly while working across multiple outpatient imaging centers
