Mammography Technologist I: Irvine Breast Care and Imaging - Per Diem

• The Mammography Technologist performs routine screening mammography examinations to obtain high quality radiographs.


• Obtains images of excellent diagnostic quality to optimally demonstrate anatomy and/or pathology while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients.


• The technologist educates the patient about the exam and takes measures to provide and care for the patient’s safety and properly utilizes procedure related patient care/support devices appropriate for the age of the patient.


• Alerts Supervisor and/or appropriate staff of potential problems or equipment malfunctions.


• Maintains a relaxed environment to calm anxious patients.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Associates Degree or higher. Graduate of an ARRT approved Radiologic Technology program is required. Minimum of 6 months – 1 year preferred, but will also consider new graduates that possess State of California Mammography License (CRT M)
• Knowledge of EMR Systems and EPIC is preferred

License Required

• California Radiologic Technologist Diagnostic Radiologic Technology - CRTXR
• California Radiologic Technologist Mammographic Radiologic Technology -CRTMA (must have by date of hire)

Certifications Required

• ARRT Radiography - RTR
• AHA BLS certification
• ARRT Mammography - RTM (If no ARRT in mammography, it must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
