Summary

The Great Lakes Water Authority is looking for a Management Professional - Operational Technology to support the Wastewater Operations Operational Technology Director to lead initiatives and be a subject matter expert in process controls systems, networking, and cyber security. We are seeking an experienced professional who will perform operational and strategic planning to ensure high OT system availability, exceptional level of services, and continuous systems improvements.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for budget development, preparation, and monitoring. Responsibilities may also include review and analysis of Key Performance Indicators, processes, and programs.
• Ensure high OT system availability, exceptional level of services and continuous system improvements.
• Collaborate with business units to define and deliver systems infrastructure requirements to meet objectives of GLWA operations.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders and vendors to deliver satisfactory, timely and cost-effective OT Infrastructure services.
• Achieve operational efficiencies by forecasting requirements, contributing information, and presenting recommendations
• Identify and implement process improvements, team member training needs, provide on-the-job training, and new technology
• Analyze variances and initiate corrective actions needed to ensure timely completion of assigned projects
• Prepare and generate documentation to support audit requirements
• Support the Director and/or Manager with administrative duties, team coordination, and communications
• Provide analyses, performance indicators, and reports for the management team, board, committees, and all other stakeholders
• Stay current with industry trends by participating in educational opportunities and professional/community organizations
• Follow security and safety policies and procedures in carrying out work duties
• Manage resources, systems and projects

Required Education and Experience

At the time of application; applicants must:

Bachelor’s degree in a related operational area AND three (3) or more years of

experience in a specialty designation area preferably in a municipal or public utility setting

OR

 Associate’s degree in a related operational area AND five (5) or more years of

experience in a specialty designation area preferably in a municipal or public utility setting.

Preferred:

Network or Cybersecurity Professional Certifications
