Blue Ops is a leading M&A consulting firm specializing in value creation, due diligence, and analytics. With a team of 70+ professionals across four offices, we support 120+ deals annually, partnering with investment banks, middle-market private equity firms, and their portfolio companies.

THE ROLE

We are looking to add an M&A Manager to our team in Chicago or Minneapolis.

This is a senior, client-facing role responsible for leading financial due diligence and transaction execution across multiple private equity and middle-market M&A engagements. The Manager serves as the day-to-day deal lead, managing analysis, teams, and client relationships from LOI through close and into post-transaction execution.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence


• Own quality of earnings, EBITDA, working capital, and deal models


• Manage multiple engagements and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery


• Serve as the primary client contact for PE sponsors, bankers, and management teams


• Lead and develop Associates and Analysts


• Present diligence findings and transaction insights to clients


• Support post-close integration and value creation initiatives

WHAT IT TAKES

We thrive in fast-moving, private-equity-backed environments that require ownership, judgment, and execution.

Successful candidates typically bring:

• 5–10 years of experience in transaction advisory, financial due diligence, investment banking, or corporate development


• Strong experience with QoE, EBITDA adjustments, working capital, and deal modeling


• Experience leading client-facing diligence engagements


• Strong financial modeling, Excel, and presentation skills


• CPA, CFA, or similar credentials preferred
