This is an onsite position that offers the 9/80 schedule.\n\nWhat You Will Get to Do\n\nThe Manager 2 \u2013 Contract Administration will lead the Aftermarket and Civil Aviation activities within the Navigator Operating Unit within the Navigation and Cockpit Systems (NACS) Business Unit reporting to the NACS BU Contract Manager.\n\nIn this role, Contract Manager 2 will be responsible for all aspects of the Aftermarket and Civil Aviation contracts\u2019 portfolio delivering successful financial performance, risk mitigation, change management, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for the direct supervision, management, and success of a staff of 8 contracts professionals. \n\nSpecifically, the Contract Manager 2 will lead their team in conducting proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, business strategy, legal requirements, and customer specifications.\n\nThe Contract Manager 2 will also be required to provide objective-oriented direction utilizing management guidelines, general policies, and maintain a strong level of engagement, while dynamically leading, inspiring, motivating and developing a team of contract professionals.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree with 8 years of industry related experience in contract administration/management \u2013 OR \u2013 a Master\u2019s degree with 6 years of industry related experience as outlined above. \n * Knowledge of Contract Administration in a FAR/DFARS environment\n * Knowledge and understanding of pricing principles and FAR/DFARS as well as associated Federal Contracting regulations. DoD contracting experience with the USG and/or major defense contractor customers.\n * Experience negotiating and administering various contract types of varying sizes and types of agreements with the DoD.\n * Experience presenting and negotiating to all levels of management.\n * Experience with proposal development.\n * Experience using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint.\n * Advanced proposal strategy and contract formation experience.\n * Demonstrated leadership experience or supervisor experience\n * US Citizenship\n * Ability to travel 10% of time as required to support major programs\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline\n * JD or MBA\n * Familiarity with SAP based systems.\n * NCMA Certification (CPCM, CFCM and/or CCCM)\n * Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).\n * Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.\n\n\n\nWhat We Can Offer You:\n\nNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
