The Manager, MN Accounting is responsible for managing the process associated with general accounting, taxes and budgeting for Cedars-Sinai Medical Delivery Network including Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation and affiliated medical groups. Assists the organization in ensuring accurate financial statements by being responsible for all General Ledger, Budgeting and Tax processes. Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads all aspects of all General Accounting for CSMCF, MNS and Affiliated Stand Alone Groups including the preparation of annual budgets, tax filings, governmental reporting requirements. Works with CSMC and E&Y on the preparation of the CSMCF Form 990, Federal and State Tax Filings and the preparation of quarterly and annual Department of Managed Health Care SB260 reports, Stand Alone Financial Reporting Packages such as Financial, PSA, Dashboard and RVU Analysis. Provides assistance with the management of the annual E&Y audit as well as internal audits, health plan audits and DMHC audits. Calculates Monthly IBNR Accruals and the Monthly FFS Accruals to ensure accurate revenue and AR balances. Assists in the financial modeling of new business and organization strategic goals and initiatives. Supervises all entries associated with CSMC intercompany transactions to include salary chargebacks, directorships, and outreach programs. Collaborates with CSMC accounting department to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of intercompany transactions. Contributes to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures for MDN. Represents the Accounting department in special projects including Upgrades, Testing and ongoing optimization. Manages the staff to ensure accurate, informative and timely reporting of financial statements, tax reporting and budget forecasting.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Experience:
Five (5) years of direct management experience of staff required. One (1) year of healthcare accounting or financial experience preferred.
