Description

We are seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Manager of Annual Giving to lead and grow our annual giving program. Reporting to the Director of Development – Principal Gifts, this role plays a key part in implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to maximize revenue from annual initiatives, including the Founder’s Council, the Golden Circle annual giving society, and serving as liaison to Argyle members. The Manager will oversee all aspects of the annual giving program—from donor cultivation and stewardship to board support and managing a portfolio of annual giving prospects. As a vital member of the Development team, this position offers the opportunity to drive meaningful engagement and philanthropic support while working closely with institutional leadership.

  • Manage a portfolio of annual giving donors while developing a pipeline for major gift prospects through personalized cultivation and stewardship.
  • Oversee and expand key membership programs such as the Golden Circle and Founder’s Council, ensuring growth and meaningful engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to align messaging and support broader development initiatives, including event sponsorships like the Global Health Symposium.
  • Represent Texas Biomed at events, foster relationships with institutional leaders, and contribute to building a strong culture of philanthropy.

Our Ideal Candidates:

Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of development experience is required, with a strong background in annual giving, donor portfolio management, and solicitation strategies.

License/Certification: A valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record is required. CFRE certification is preferred and considered a strong asset.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of major gift fundraising principles, with a commitment to excellence, professional growth, and outstanding customer service.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities.
  • Personable and engaging, with a passion for face-to-face donor and community engagement and the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and fundraising CRMs (e.g., Raiser’s Edge), with the flexibility to travel as needed.
