You will support growth by partnering with the assigned brand/ category/ area of business and turning consumer and shopper insights into strategies and actions.
How you will contribute
You will:
Proactively provide thought leadership to influence business stakeholders in order to make the appropriate business decision through the lenses of consumer and business goals/priorities.
Integrate insights collaboratively with business team throughout the complete product life cycle including: brand strategy, communication strategy, creative development, innovation, product and packaging, in market execution and assessment.
Understand marketing fundamentals and provide analysis and recommendations to support IMC/Connections Planning.
Conduct situation analysis and provide input to annual planning
Conduct creative idea testing to generate insights
Review creative idea and provide input/feedback based on consumer views
Review connections map and assess tactics
Provide insights to shape activation plans and measures effectiveness of creatives
Provide analysis and recommendations to support Innovation
Lead consumer driven new product/packaging ideation
Review new product concepts and assess consumer fit
Conduct concept testing to validate ideas and evaluate size of opportunity
Conduct product and package testing to generate insights
Provide insights to shape commercialization plans and measures effectiveness of product / package
Generate insights and recommendations based on inputs from BBO (Base Business Optimization), Strategic Pricing, and Marketing Analytics
Provide insights from Product Quality Benchmarking
What extra ingredients you will bring:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Social Science, Business Administration, Marketing preferred).
Post graduate studies in Business Administration or Social Sciences (preferred) with a concentration in research, marketing, or quantitative
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Consumer/Category Insights, preferably within consumer package goods organizations.
Client-side work in CPG preferred; supplier-side research experience a plus
Experience across a broad range of market research techniques and analytical techniques such as: consumer based market structures (consumer need state landscape), consumer segmentations, copy testing, brand health, product and concept testing, packaging evaluation, volumetric forecasting, pricing architectures, market mix modeling, data mining with Nielsen syndicated tools
Strong strategic thinking capabilities
Ability to thrive in and handle ambiguity
Analytic and creative thinking skills
Strong business acumen and marketing capabilities
Strong cross functional partnership skills
Strong communication skills
Solid understanding of Sales and Customer issues.
