Your Opportunity with Us:
The

Manager, Client Accounting,

plays an integral role with working with our clients and their auditors to ensure compliance with the various financial reporting requirements. As the organization continues to grow, the position has the potential to evolve into other areas of the Company and take on additional responsibilities. The role requires the ability to learn the proprietary software solution and understand how the system operates to provide clients with the report and data needed to monitor trust activity.
A successful candidate would be ready to embrace the following key responsibilities:
Oversee the month end close process for our clients, which includes monthly cash and investment reconciliations and trust financial reporting.
Prepare year-end financial statements and footnotes for audit clients.
Work directly with clients and other departments to manage requests.
Develop understanding around investments and manage changes in client fund line ups.
Understand and oversee client billing and fees.
Manage audit request for Trust financial statement audits.
Manage and oversee the SOC 1 & 2 audits ensuring controls are complete and accurate.
Build efficiency in the audit process to reduce audit hours.
Prepare Trustee Committee Reporting Package for large Trust Clients.
Assist with client on-boarding and implementation relating to investments, fees, and reporting.
Ability to work with other departments and pick up additional responsibilities as needed.
A strong candidate would have the following skills and qualifications:
Minimum of 4 to 5 years in a public or private accounting position with experience in internal controls and financial statement preparation.
CPA preferred, but not required.
Driven, creative individual that enjoys problem solving by using technology and data to analyze and develop a solution.
Ability to learn and understand the system processes of our software solution and develop efficient and scalable processes.
Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients and other stakeholders.
Agile and willing to take on new and additional responsibilities as the company grows.
Strong analytical and financial statement preparation skills.
Focus on details, developing and maintaining a strong control environment.
Ability to manage and develop a team of people.
Thrives in collaborative work environments being both an active communicator and an eager listener.
Presents with a confident caring demeanor to work with individuals at varying levels in the organization.
Highly organized and self-motivated, with an ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage several work streams.
