Job Description - Manager- Contract Packaging

Your Job

We are seeking a Manager, Contract Packaging to manage the supplier base for finished goods products for Georgia Pacific's Consumer Products. This role will report to the Director, External Operations (Outsourced Goods) and be leading with full ownership of the overall Contract Packager's production performance across the Georgia Pacific's Consumer Products business. This role will be responsible for production on-time performance, pricing management, supplier relationship management, overall operational effectiveness, and support of new product initiatives.

This position is based in Atlanta, GA or Green Bay, WI area, with up to 20% travel. Travel may vary depending on locations.

What You Will Do
Overall ownership of contract packaging operations to ensure active communication and management of day to day tactical and strategic operational activities
Establish reliable service, competitive cost and preferred partnership with our contract packaging suppliers to deliver exceptional quality products on-time in full
Single point of contact for all contract packaging initiatives across all GP Professional and Retail brands
Define and deliver value creation and operational improvement initiatives to deliver competitive and cost optimized demand fulfillment that meet customer needs across GP's Consumer Products
Close collaboration with internal supply chain and contract packaging suppliers to ensure a clear understanding of capacity, efficiency, and planning parameters
Align with Brand Category management and cross functional teams to define and execute contract packaging activities
Drive and track on-time and predictable delivery of products
Proactively track and resolve quality issues to prevent service level impacts
Collaborate with business category, supply planner, packaging engineering, purchasing, and deployment teams in product quote preparation, scope of work, and pricing management to deliver optimum total landed cost for the scope of work
Ensure active and accurate management of GP owned materials and assets at supplier locations

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or extensive related working experience
5+ years of experience in a supplier management and procurement role
Experience with proactive supplier relationship management and continuous improvement
Knowledge/certification in project management, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma, etc.
Experience delivering positive outcomes by building and leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
5 + years of experience in supervisor/manager/team lead capacity

What Will Put You Ahead
Master's degree in supply chain management or industrial engineering or APICS certified
Previous experience in leading process improvement/continuous improvement projects using Kaizen, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma
Previous experience in External Operations Management in the consumer-packaged goods
Previous experience using SAP and other supply chain system/tool
