Manager, Corporate Accounting - Exciting Challenge

Must Haves:

• Accounting degree required
• 6-8 years of accounting experience
• Strong GAAP knowledge
• Strong Excel and computer skills
• Experience in public accounting and the real estate industry
• Strong management skills

Duties:

• Oversee and assists in the preparation and review of service company and corporate holdings level financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Responsible for a full understanding of all financial statements and primary associate to answer questions on those statements.
• Review monthly reconciliations and workbooks prepared by senior and staff accountants.
• Assists Controller with consolidated financials, footnotes, and other schedules needed for reporting packages.
• Assists with analyzing new GAAP rules and assessing their impact on the organization.
• Assists with writing new policies and procedures regarding new GAAP rules.
• Oversees daily activities of the corporate accounting department.
• Assists with the development of employees in the department.
• Coordinates the preparation of non-routine accounting transactions or reporting functions.
• Leads the development of associates in the department which includes day-to-day mentoring and teaching the team.
