Position Summary


New York City Ballet (NYCB) seeks a thoughtful and creative Manager, Corporate Relations, to help strengthen and expand its portfolio of strategic corporate partnerships. This role will advance NYCB’s mission by cultivating mutually beneficial and long-term corporate alliances, while generating revenue in support of organizational priorities. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Relations, the Manager will support all aspects of corporate fundraising, including identifying, cultivating, and sustaining these relationships.



Major Duties & Responsibilities



  • Work in close collaboration with the Director of Corporate Relations to steward and manage NYCB’s corporate relations programs and to develop and implement a plan to achieve an annual corporate fundraising target.

  • Identify key corporate prospects to build a pipeline for ongoing and future support of NYCB.

  • Develop, write, and submit proposals to corporations to meet the needs and specific requirements of each potential partner.

  • Develop and execute mutually beneficial and revenue-generating partnership opportunities with companies by linking the mission of NYCB with their brand, business and philanthropic priorities.

  • Oversee partner crediting and recognition across all NYCB materials and events.

  • Facilitate select brand collaborations, including initial planning, agreement execution, shoot logistics, coordination with Artistic staff, content approval process, etc.

  • Work closely with NYCB Special Events on the development and execution of partner activations.

  • Manage select prospect and partner stewardship.

  • Collaborate closely with all other NYCB and David H. Koch Theater departments, e.g., Marketing & Media, Press & Communication, Production, Facility Management, Artistic Management, Education, and others, in formulating and executing sponsor benefits and activations.

  • Budgeting, expense, and revenue projection management

  • Maintain performance metrics, Tessitura updates, data management, event tracking, and other performance measures.

  • Maintain and document comprehensive information on all corporate prospects and partners.



Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 3-5 years relevant experience

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • General knowledge of fundraising and/or corporate relations principles and techniques

  • Demonstrated ability to function as an integral part of a professional development team.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work both entrepreneurially and as a part of a team.

  • Ability to identify potential partners to secure financial and in-kind support and long-term relationships.

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to customize creative and strategic ideas to meet each prospect and partner’s needs.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a flair for creativity

  • Ability to balance various projects simultaneously.

  • Close attention to detail

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Tessitura strongly preferred.
