Manager, Employee Relations

The Manager, Labor & Employee Relations, is a key contributor to our large scale bargaining initiatives. This position is deeply rooted in labor relations within a unionized manufacturing environment. The role supports national and local collective bargaining agreement (CBA) processes, and collaborates cross-functionally with key stakeholders across the organization. This role may also manage 1–2 direct reports and support labor process standardization, and implementation.

You'll have…

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Labor Relations, Human Resources, or related field (or commensurate experience) 
• 6-10 years of labor relations experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Plant labor and/or management level labor relations experience is required
• Direct experience supporting national or regional collective bargaining negotiations and leading or participating in subcommittees.
• Functional proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications and SharePoint.
• Problem solving / conflict management skills. 
• Project management skills. 
• Excellent written and oral communication including presentation skills.
• Experience managing people and/or leading cross-functional teams. and ability to build consensus with stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment with union stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements, labor contract language, and grievance processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
• Strong skills in data analysis, presentation development, and stakeholder communication.

Even better, you may have...

• Master’s degree in Industrial/Labor Relations or related field.
• Experience interacting with the UAW (or similar large unions). 
• Negotiations experience
• Experience standardizing labor processes across multiple sites or business units.
