The role you’ll contribute:
·

The manager of event planning and strategy is responsible for the coordination of business events, elements of which include, but are not limited to, event experiential creation, agenda development and recommendations, preparation and facilitating of intention meeting with stakeholders, event program development in partnership with audio visual team, speaker database and recommendations based on event intention and scope, preparation and proofing of written/graphic materials, show-flow development, pre-production meetings, vendor/site research, contract negotiation, expense management, food and beverage selection, audio visual management, budget reconciliation, and event analysis and statistics, including client/attendee engagement. Communication Proficiency: Ability to convey ideas effectively in both written and spoken formats.

Organization & Time Management: Demonstrates basic skills in organizing tasks and managing time effectively.

Collaboration Skills: Openness to work with a team and contribute to joint objectives.
·

Client Interaction: Basic skills in understanding and addressing client feedback and concerns.
·

Master of Diplomacy: Exceptional skills in navigating high-stakes situations, making critical decisions that benefit both the project and client relationships.
This individual stays current on event industry trends, market climates and competitive activities and recommends ways, among colleagues, to leverage opportunities. He/she demonstrates working knowledge of business and works closely with the event owner/sponsor of the project to develop the event profile (goal, responsibilities, budgets, timelines, etc.), scheduling the date of the event, securing venues, negotiating contracts, planning and coordinating the event and frequently providing on-site management of the event. The event planning and strategy manager cultivates collaborative relationships with in- and external resources to support activities.

Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative

Ability to be creative and innovative
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
·

BS or BA in Marketing, Communication, Business and/or related field AND minimum of five years of experience
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
·

Flexible schedule and some travel required during certain time periods
·

Ability to work collaboratively with others
·

Strong teamwork skills required
·

Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
·

Great customer service with positive energy
·

Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills
