The BSN SPORTS team is looking for a team oriented, experienced Manager- Facilities and Maintenance in Indianapolis, IN. As a member of the Leadership team, the Manager – Facilities and Maintenance is a key leadership role and is responsible for providing a safe environment, developing, and coaching all team members, and collaborating with teams across the organization to achieve KPIs that result in outstanding service to our coaches and student athletes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO ON A DAILY BASIS:

The Manager – Facilities and Maintenance will have a presence on a multi-shift Facilities and Maintenance team. The Manager - Facilities and Maintenance is responsible for:

· Drives internal customer service through timely and thorough communication

· Managing the preventative maintenance program and validates all equipment is operational and safe to use

· Reviewing, approving and assigning maintenance requests to team for completion

· Acts as a project manager on larger facility projects as needed

· Supports safety culture as co-chair of Safety Committee

· Works with third party vendors/providers (Security/Alarm, Crown, Fire Protection, Vending, Landlord, etc) to support the needs of the operation

· Develop and report on maintenance KPI’s related to PM Compliance, response time to work orders, Equipment uptime and Maintenance OT

· Partner with on-site automation technician to develop/align on best practices and techniques for the maintenance team

· Develop incident/failure review process and present information on a regular basis

· Works with business partners to create training, development, and succession plans for team

WHAT SKILLS YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

· Professional written and verbal communication and listening skills

· Able to operate material handling equipment (scissor lift, sit down and stand up forklifts, order pickers, and Cushmans)

· Solution oriented and change management minded

· Commitment to a continuous improvement environment

· Computer literate with knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Flexibility to work varying shifts in support of the operation

 

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

· Bachelor’s Degree in any field and/or 5-7 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting

· 2-3 years’ experience with warehouse automation systems

· Experience with maintenance management software is strongly preferred

· Experience reading blueprints/schematics, HVAC systems, and electrical is strongly preferred

· Previous experience in a maintenance leadership role

· Previous experience managing and working with outside vendors.

· Previous experience with leading projects to completion

· LEAN/process/continuous improvement concepts and principles, including creating GEMBA metrics

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis. The position requires lifting of no less than 15-35 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
