DescriptionI. Job Summary
Manages all administrative employees and functions at a Hazardous Waste facility including Billing, Recordkeeping, Receiving, and the Scalehouse.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages the planning and direction of Billing activities. Prepares and maintains account records and billing data and organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities
- Manages Recordkeeping activities, including the e-manifest program, weight discrepancies, manifest storage, certificates of disposal, and waste mapping
- Oversees the Scale house activities and waste receiving to ensure compliance with permits and regulations
- Monitors Billing, Recordkeeping, and Scale house work processes, procedures and expenses, and establishes programs which drive team performance toward departmental and organizational goals
- Creates and maintains data and reports for senior management, accounting, and the state EPA.
- Supervises staff and organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities.
- Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures.
- Oversees and conducts personnel needs of the department including coaching, safety training, disciplinary action, and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
- Orders supplies as needed.
- Oversees waste receipt and waste permitting. Monitors waste acceptance procedures to ensure compliance with existing Permits and regulations.
III. Qualifications
A. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.
- 5 years of previous work experience (in addition to education requirement).
