Position Overview
PalmPay Bangladesh is seeking an experienced Manager – FI Management & Co-Operation to manage and scale Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) operations through Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) as the primary partner segment, with Banks and NBFIs as secondary stakeholders.
This role is critical in ensuring smooth operational coordination, regulatory compliance under MRA guidelines, and scalable execution of BNPL programs through institution-led lending partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
MFI Partnership & Relationship Management (Primary Focus)

Lead and manage PalmPay’s partnerships with licensed MFIs, acting as the key liaison for all operational and coordination matters.
Drive onboarding of MFIs, including institutional due diligence, MRA compliance validation, and partnership documentation.
Maintain strong working relationships with MFI management, credit, operations, and field teams.
Oversee end-to-end BNPL operational flows with MFIs, covering customer acquisition, credit assessment, disbursement, repayment, and recovery coordination.
Ensure seamless integration between PalmPay’s digital platform and MFI operational processes.
Resolve day-to-day operational issues arising from MFI field operations, collections, and portfolio performance.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting, annual reporting, MIS, and compliance with regulatory instructions.
Ensure all BNPL programs operated with MFIs are fully compliant with MRA regulations, consumer protection guidelines, and internal compliance policies.
Coordinate with Compliance and Risk teams on KYC, AML/CFT, customer onboarding, and regulatory reporting obligations.
Support regulatory audits, inspections, and data submissions related to MFI-based BNPL operations.
Identify operational, credit, and compliance risks specific to MFI-driven BNPL models and recommend mitigation measures.
Propose and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, portfolio quality, and business scalability.
Monitor repayment behavior, delinquency trends, and recovery performance in collaboration with MFI partners.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline.
Master’s degree is an advantage.

Experience

7–10 years of extensive hands-on experience working with MFIs in Bangladesh.
Proven background in MFI operations, digital lending, credit programs, BNPL, or institutional partnership management.
Strong working knowledge of MRA regulations, MFI lending methodologies, field operations, and recovery mechanisms.

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of microfinance operations and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with execution focus.
Ability to manage complex multi-party operational workflows.
High integrity and compliance-driven mindset.
