Primary Purpose Supports Controller by preparing corporate budgets and forecasts, providing analysis, and operationalizing the reporting of financial metrics and financial performance objectives across the organization.
Responsibilities
Enhances the corporate budget process and model to ensure annual plans and forecasts
accurately capture costs across all verticals and functional areas Works with leaders throughout the organization to develop budgets that support corporate
growth and manage costs in a competitive environment Ensures final budgets are entered in the ERP and reports are issued to allow leaders across the
organization to manage their budgets and be held accountable Presents financial performance data to leaders in the organization and works with the Project
Management Office and Project Financial Control groups to ensure estimates-to-complete are
based on accurately forecasted indirect rates. Assists with month-end activities to ensure financial reporting deadlines are met Assists with comparative financial statement preparation (Income Statement, Balance Sheet,
Statement of Cash Flows) and analysis of the results Supports integration of affiliate entities into Emmes’ financial reporting Ensures intercompany balances between Emmes and its affiliates are reconciled Leads or assists with ad-hoc assignments and analysis as needed Promote a high-quality customer experience for both internal and external clients Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required with at least
5 years of relevant experience Experience working in a Federal Government Contracting environment required Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Time & Expense preferred Self-starter and detail-oriented Demonstrated advanced MS Excel usage Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills
