Title: Manager, Flagging and Contract Compliance
Our railroad maintenance division, Transdev Rail, Inc, provides an integrated suite of railroad maintenance, project oversight, and construction services.
Overview of Position:
Responsible for managing Railroad Flagging services on the SFRC corridor. This includes scheduling flaggers, training employees, billing client or third parties for services provided.
Providing oversight between MOW and administrative reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages flagging staff, including scheduling assignments, training employees, review and approve payroll and discipline staff as necessary. Ensures employees are at their assigned locations on time ensuring they have the proper tools (flags, and other equipment, etc.) and that proper job briefings take place.
Performing flagging/RWIC functions if staff is not available to cover all assignments.
Works with outside parties requiring flagging services to understand projects being conducted along the corridor.
Promote cooperation and commitment within a team environment to achieve goals.
Support Director of Safety, Rules and Compliance in performing duties related to regulatory and contractual requirements with our client as stated in the MOW Contract.
Enforce compliance of policies and protocols related to safety and MOW contract with employees while providing administrative reports to our reporting administrator.
General Code of Operating Rules (GCOR) experience strongly preferred or the ability to pass GCOR test withing the first 45 days of employment.
Provide On-Track Safety in accordance with 49 CFR 214 Federal Regulations.
Other duties as required.
Experience Required:
A minimum of fiveyears of supervisory skills in a similar position supervising and managing employees.
Education preferred:
College degree business, railroad management or a related field.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Must be able to demonstrate ability to communicate in written and verbal English language.
Must possess strong leadership interpersonal skills
Knowledge of the physical layout and operation of a commuter rail system similar to the SFRC.
Must have a valid Florida drivers’ license.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Must pass a pre-employment drug test, backgroundcheck and physical exam.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, to lift objects weighing a minimum of 50 lbs and must have the ability to distinguish colors and to hear warning signals, radio and telephone devices
