What you’ll need to succeed as a Freight Operations Manager at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

4 years of related work experienceSupervisory or management experienceExperience in the less-than-truckload (LTL) industryExperience with hazardous materials regulations, OSHA and Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, 4 years of related work experience or equivalent military experienceLTL freight management and/or service center/management experienceExperience driving a forkliftStrong interpersonal and management skills; ability to effectively lead, coach and influence employeesExcellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for the intended audience

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Handle the efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery service provided to our customersGuide the complete daily operations of the service centerOversee revenue, profit and cost controlsEnsure proper staffing, utilization and management of personnelMentor and manage all personnel working at the facility

Freight Operations Managers are required to:

Frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 75 lbs.Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneelWork outdoors in inclement weatherWalk and stand for extended periods on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery

Annual Salary Range: $88,696 to $110,870 . Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for a sign-on bonus, annual and long-term incentive awards, and an equity buyout award. This is an incentive-based position, which may include bonuses, incentive or commission plans.
