We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary:

This position will focus on PayPal’s advocacy engagement with the U.S. federal government, including the executive branch and related agencies. Candidates must have the ability to identify and effectively engage with key stakeholders regarding PayPal’s top policy issues. The selected candidate will work closely with our two U.S. federal GR team members to implement PayPal’s U.S. federal policy priorities.

Job Description:

• The US Federal Government Relations Manager will collaborate closely with PayPal’s Americas GR Head to establish goals and implement strategies regarding U.S. federal public policy.

• The manager will focus on PayPal’s advocacy for non-financial services issues, encompassing tax legislation, trade barriers, intellectual property, privacy issues, small and medium-sized business concerns, and cybersecurity.

• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, develop and implement advocacy strategies, and represent PayPal’s interests before the U.S. administration and Congress.

• Strengthen PayPal’s relationships with key government officials in the U.S. Congress, the White House, and relevant agencies.

• Develop external advocacy materials, presentations, reports, and other communication materials.

• Collaborate with and update our internal business functions to ensure that PayPal’s advocacy aligns with our business priorities.

• Convey complex political and government relations issues and related actions to PayPal’s executive-level management.

• Oversee external consultants and represent PayPal before trade associations and coalitions.
