Job Description

The Manager, Growth Operations - Galileo X will serve as the operational architect for the Galileo X product lines (Direct Service Expanded Learning Programs and Licensed Enrichment Solutions), bridging the gap between a rapid-growth sales team and established central functions. You will execute critical day-to-day revenue operations (from RFP management to customer implementation) while simultaneously building the scalable infrastructure—processes, playbooks, and tools—required to grow the business line 2-3x.

Accountable For

Growth Operations & Internal Infrastructure

  • Process Architecture: Map, document, and optimize the end-to-day workflow from "Lead" to "Renewal," identifying and eliminating friction points between Galileo X and Central functions.
  • Knowledge Management: Build the "Galileo X Playbook," ensuring tribal knowledge is codified into repeatable standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Tooling & Automation: Prototype and implement low-code/no-code solutions to automate manual tasks (e.g., automated handoffs, data entry reduction). Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop more robust long-term solutions.

Sales Enablement & Revenue Operations

  • Pipeline Logistics: Own the administrative lifecycle of the deal, including vendor registration, contract tracking, and RFP responses.
  • Event Strategy & Execution: Manage the logistics and ROI tracking for industry conferences and sales events (beyond just "support").
  • Sales Collateral: Act as the liaison between Sales and Marketing to ensure the team has up-to-date, relevant assets.

Customer Success & Account Management

  • Implementation Onboarding: Own the post-sale "Kick-off" phase for Enrichment Solutions in particular; standardize the intake process to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Feedback Loops: Systematize the collection of user feedback to inform product iteration; turn qualitative anecdotes into quantitative data for the Educational Product team.
  • Renewal Management: Proactively manage the renewal calendar, collaborating with Sales to engage with clients to secure retention.

Key Success Indicators

  • Mission-Driven: Inspired by Galileo’s purpose to empower young innovators through innovation education and project-based learning, eager to contribute to a professional, welcoming, camp-inspired culture.

  • Operational Grit: Willingness to do the unglamorous work (filling out forms) while keeping the big picture in mind.

  • Diplomatic Disruption: Ability to navigate organizational resistance and drive change without formal authority.

  • High tolerance for—and ability to effectively manage—ambiguity and shifting priorities.

  • Systems Thinking: The ability to look at a recurring problem and build a process to solve it permanently

Compensation

At Galileo, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. We anticipate the total compensation for this full-time, exempt position to be $85,000 - $95,000. The exact offer will be determined based on a variety of factors, including geography, relevant skills, and professional experience.

Our pay practices are guided by a commitment to equity and informed by market benchmarking and internal audits to minimize bias and ensure fairness across all roles.

Benefits

We offer comprehensive benefits that reflect our commitment to supporting diverse needs:

  • No-cost medical insurance for employees (additional plans and options to add dependents available at cost)

  • Vision and Dental Insurance

  • 401k benefits after 1 year of employment

  • Flexible Paid Time Off - time off is not limited, and we strongly recommend that employees take time off to rest and recharge.

  • Unlimited free camp for your child(ren), OR two free weeks to be gifted (including AM/PM Extended Care)

  • Friends and Family Discount for Galileo Camps

  • Priority scholarship nominations for Galileo Camps

  • Generous parental leave and extensive support with leave planning

  • Employee Assistance Program, options for life insurance, and more!

Work Location

Remote, work-from-home, location is possible in the following states: California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Texas, North Carolina, New York, or Washington. We are currently only able to employ candidates who are based in the states listed here.

Schedule & Time Commitment

This is a full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week. While we prioritize work-life balance, there may be times when additional hours are necessary to meet deadlines and ensure the success of our programs. Additionally, HQ staff are expected to visit camp locations from June through August to experience camp first-hand and support our teams on the ground; 10-15% travel may be required for those located outside of a camp territory.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in operations, project management, revenue operations, or a related role within a cross-functional, fast-moving organization

  • Demonstrated ability to design, document, and improve end-to-end operational workflows, turning ambiguity into clear, repeatable processes

  • Proven experience serving as a cross-functional connector between Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations without direct authority

  • Strong execution skills, with a track record of owning detailed operational work while building scalable systems to reduce manual effort over time

  • High comfort operating in ambiguous, evolving environments, with the judgment to prioritize effectively and keep work moving forward

We strongly encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds and experiences, and we are committed to equitable and inclusive hiring practices. If you think you have what it takes to be successful in this role, we encourage you to apply!
