Role Summary\n\nThe Logistics Operations \u2013 Shipping \u0026 Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading site\u2011level warehouse and shipping operations in support of manufacturing, intercompany, and customer fulfillment. This role ensures safe, compliant, and efficient execution of inbound and outbound material flow, inventory accuracy, and shipping services through effective use of SAP EWM and ECC.\n\nThe position provides direct leadership to Warehouse Leads and Material Handlers, manages operational performance against defined KPIs, and partners cross\u2011functionally with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, EHS, Trade \u0026 Compliance, Global Logistics, and 3PL (Third\u2011Party Logistics) providers. All activities are executed in alignment with the Applied Materials Quality Management System and Logistics Standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nWarehouse \u0026 Shipping Execution\n\n * Lead daily execution of Receiving, Putaway, Picking, Packing, Shipping, and Staging operations.\n * Ensure on\u2011time, accurate outbound shipments supporting production requirements, intercompany transfers, and customer deliveries.\n * Manage domestic freight execution, including LTL and FTL shipments.\n * Coordinate carrier selection, shipment consolidation, scheduling, and exception resolution.\n * Maintain compliant warehouse layout, storage locations, and material flow aligned to Applied Materials logistics work instructions and quality requirements.\n\n\n\nSAP \u0026 Systems Execution\n\n * Execute and monitor warehouse and shipping transactions in SAP EWM and ECC, including:\n * Goods receipts and goods issues\n * HU/LPN handling\n * Storage location management\n * Inventory adjustments and corrections\n * Identify and resolve SAP execution errors, receipt/shipment variances, and inventory discrepancies.\n * Partner with IT, Global Logistics, and Business Process teams to support system stabilization, enhancements, and standardization.\n\n\n\n3PL \u0026 Stakeholder Management\n\n * Manage daily execution and performance of 3PL providers supporting warehouse and transportation operations.\n * Establish clear expectations, standard work, and performance metrics for external partners.\n * Coordinate cross\u2011functional issue resolution with Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, EHS, and Trade teams.\n * Experienced with UPS, FedEx and DHL Domestic and International shipping processes\n\n\n\nPeople Leadership\n\n * Lead, coach, and develop Warehouse Leads and Material Handlers across shifts.\n * Set daily priorities and reinforce standard work, accountability, and safe behaviors on the warehouse floor.\n * Partner with HR and site leadership on performance management, corrective action, and workforce planning.\n * Foster a culture focused on safety, quality, continuous improvement, and operational discipline.\n\n\n\nSafety, Quality \u0026 Compliance\n\n * Champion Applied Materials safety culture, ergonomic practices, and incident prevention.\n * Ensure compliant handling, storage, and shipment of Hazardous Goods, including proper classification, packaging, labeling, documentation, and segregation.\n * Ensure adherence to QMS, EHS, Trade \u0026 Customs, and site logistics procedures.\n * Lead investigations for safety incidents, near misses, and material discrepancies and implement preventive actions.\n\n\n\nMetrics \u0026 Continuous Improvement\n\n * Own operational KPIs including On Time Delivery, inventory accuracy, productivity, safety, and cost.\n * Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste, improve material flow, and stabilize execution.\n * Support logistics automation, layout optimization, and digital enablement initiatives.\n\n\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).\n * 5+ years of warehouse or logistics experience in manufacturing or high\u2011tech environments.\n * 2+ years leading hourly teams through a lead\u2011based front\u2011line structure.\n * Hands\u2011on experience with SAP operating systems, EWM and ECC supporting warehouse and shipping execution.\n * Experience managing operations involving 3PL providers.\n * Strong working knowledge of domestic freight, including LTL and FTL shipments.\n * Hazardous Goods handling experience, including compliant storage and shipment.\n * Proven experience with inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and audit support.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * International shipping experience, including export documentation, Incoterms, carrier coordination, and trade compliance requirements.\n * Experience shipping regulated or restricted materials, including hazardous goods.\n * Working knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., DOT, IATA, IMDG, as applicable).\n * Experience within Applied Materials, semiconductor, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.\n * Familiarity with Lean, 6S, or structured problem\u2011solving methodologies.\n * Exposure to warehouse automation, RF scanning, or material handling systems.\n\n\n\nRole Competencies \u0026 Expectations\n\nFunctional Knowledge\n\nDemonstrates understanding and practical application of procedures and concepts within the Logistics job family, with basic working knowledge of other related job families.\n\nBusiness Expertise\n\nApplies understanding of how the logistics team interfaces with closely related organizations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse and shipping operations.\n\nLeadership\n\nHas formal people leadership responsibilities;
