Manager in Training

Description

Primary tasks are to float betwen roles filling all positions as necessary while mastering all functions of the hospitlaity industry.  The candidate will be proficient in bartending, bussing, serving, cooking, line prep, management and administrative duties.  Job location will vary based on needs of the company and will bounce between the Surry Seafood Company, Smithfield Station, Vintage Tavern, Decoys Seafood and River Stone Chophouse.  A major role of this candidate is to learn, embrace and instill the culture of Pack Brothers Hospitlaity in each and every company.

Requirements

• Assisting with the development and implementation of marketing and advertising strategies
• Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
• Monitoring and controlling costs, including labor and food costs
• Hiring and training new staff members
• Scheduling and assigning tasks to staff members
• Providing excellent customer service and addressing any customer complaints or concerns
• Handling financial transactions and processing payments
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the restaurant
• Developing and implementing new menu items and specials
• The trainee may also be responsible for helping to develop and implement policies and procedures for the restaurant, as well as ensuring that all employees adhere to these policies. Good communication and problem-solving skills are important for this role, as is the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
