What we’re looking for…
Manages a staff of Inside Sales and Technical Support Representatives providing direct sales support for Oatey’s Wholesale Plumbing business. This position assists the Sales team by providing internal support relative to the development of job and project quotations. This includes but is not limited to developing best practices for quotes, cross references, lead generations, being a champion for product training programs and coordinating workloads of their extended team.
Expectations & Accountabilities …
Coordinate workloads of Technical Support and Inside Sales teams.
Utilization of 3rd party lead generation software. Data mining, communication to Sales and corresponding follow up.
Assist Sales on when to bid/not bid on projects and jobs.
Support wholesaler submittal packets (ARRA, BAA, LEED and compliance inquiries).
Handle Commercial and Residential job quotations. Include take offs and submittals while assisting Sales and delegating duties throughout the quotation process. Measure the overall success of quotations issued.
Oversee Oatey’s master cross over data and work with Product Marketing to validate accuracy.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), provide recommendations for improvement, and assist the Director, Customer Service as needed with projects, acquisitions and product training initiatives.
Travel to trade shows, make customer visits and attend sales meetings as necessary.
Support internal events put on by Marketing and Sales with design, creation, and execution of training scenarios.
Coordinate and document ASME B.31.3 Solvent Welding training sessions.
Lead a majority of internal and virtual training sessions with Oatey personnel and outside

customers. Manages

Oatey’s Blue Volt training software package.
What you’ll need to be successful…
Ten plus (10+) years of Customer Service, Sales or Technical experience.
In depth product knowledge (product attributes and applications) preferably in the Plumbing or Underground industry.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, demonstrated analytical skills and customer service capabilities.
Ability to work non-standard hours and travel (15%).
Proven experience managing a team of 7-10 employees.
Ability to work within timelines, pressure situations and handle multiple/competing priorities.
Experience with well-developed customer communication and problem-solving skills.
PC computer proficiency: Work, Excel, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or another related field, or relevant equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
Minimum Journeyman credentials required with 10 years in the plumbing trade.
Qualifications that will set you apart….
Master Plumbers License is preferred.
