Primary purpose: Effectively staff, organize, direct, and manage all aspects of the installed products department as it relates to installed framing, doors, trim, and windows.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and promote a culture where safety is the top priority
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and portray the company in a positive manner
  • Train, develop and provide day-to-day management of the installed products team that includes field coordinators for framing, doors & finish, and windows.
  • Manage the quality control and warranty response for all products in the workflow.
  • Manage/Oversee the administration of install scheduling, project management, internal labor contracts (AVO’s), subcontractor labor bills, and maintaining builder portals
  • Establish and maintain builder, customer (internal & external), and sub-contractor relationships 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the FBS Sales (CSR) Team
  • Recruit and vet sub-contract installers focused on quality, efficient material usage, and on time performance.
  • Work with corporate insurance coordinator to ensure proper subcontractor insurance requirements and up-to-date certificates of insurance.
  • Know and understand the local labor market subcontractor rates. Assist in developing and maintaining labor pricing schedules.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining department budgets as it relates to staffing, vehicles, and operating expenses.
  • Manage the department vehicle fleet
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required:

  • Safety focused
  • Minimum 10 years of framing experience
  • Broad range of construction knowledge and experience
  • Ability to read building plans/blueprints
  • Ability to complete take-offs and provide material and labor estimates
  • Good judgment and sound decision-making skills
  • Able to solve problems with minimal supervision
  • Approachable, a good listener, and communicate effectively
  • Able to modify your planned daily schedule for unplanned urgencies
  • Be a thinker, planner, and visionary
  • Effective at setting and achieving goals
  • Thrive under pressure and juggle multiple tasks with finesse
  • Possesses strong leadership and time management skills
  • Understand and promote Continuous Improvement and Lean principles
