Job Description - Manager In-training/Assistant manager

The manager in training is being prepared to take on a full-time management position. This role is structured to build leadership skills, operational knowledge, and decision-making abilities. It’s hands-on, often fast paced, and designed to test the readiness for the pressures of management.

The main goal of the manager in training program is to develope future leaders who can:

· Run daily operations smoothly

· Lead a team effectively

· Hit performance targets

· Solve problems under pressure

· Uphold Big O Tires company policies and core values.

Key Responsibilities

· Learn company policies, systems, and workflow

· Assist in supervision staff and daily operations

· Observe and participate in hiring, scheduling, and performance reviews

· Works on customer service and conflict resolution

· Track performance metrics and learn how to drive improvements

· Receive mentorship from senior managers

Skills built during training

· Leadership: Learning how to motivate, guide, and hold a team accountable

· Time Management: Prioritizing tasks in a fast moving environment

· Communication: Handling employee feedback and customer issues clearly and professionally

· Problem-Solving: Thinking quickly and acting confidently when challenges arise

· Business Acumen: Understanding how decisions affect the bottom line

Compensation: $40,000.00 - $45,900.00 per year

Most Big O Tires stores are individually owned and operated by franchisees, and each franchisee makes the staffing and hiring decisions for the individual location(s). However, the Big O franchisees are always looking for new faces with experience and desire to serve Big O Tires store customers.

This franchise is independently owned and operated by a franchisee. Your application will go directly to the franchisee, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of this franchisee.
