Position Summary
The Manager supports the General Manager / Senior General Manager in overseeing
daily airport kiosk operations. This exempt, non-tip-eligible role is responsible for the
floor leadership, coaching, and staffing of the kiosk barista team.
Because the location runs as a walk-up kiosk without traditional dining rooms or
standalone cashiers, the Manager focuses on driving exceptional speed of service,
ensuring precise register and cash handling, keeping grab-and-go displays fully
merchandised, and maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and airport
compliance. The Manager also assists with daily labor controls, kiosk supply ordering,
and operational consistency to deliver the Little Finch mission within a unique, compact
airport environment.

● Kiosk Operations & Flow: Oversee and support daily walk-up kiosk operations,
serving as a role model for fast-paced airport hospitality and managing rapid
queue line recovery professionally.
● Team Development & Staffing: Hire, train, schedule, and develop the kiosk
barista team, fostering a positive, inclusive, and highly flexible culture of
accountability.
● Compliance & Food Safety: Uphold strict health department, sanitation, and
Denver International Airport regulatory compliance standards across all kiosk
equipment and prep zones.
● Financial & Cost Controls: Assist kiosk leadership with daily cost controls,
including labor optimization tracking, pastry/product waste management, and
operating expenses.
● Merchandising & Inventory Support: Ensure grab-and-go coolers, pastry
cases, and retail displays are continuously clean, visually appealing, and fully
restocked to capture terminal foot traffic.
● Shift Leadership: Lead shift transitions, provide in-the-moment coaching on
recipe and cash-handling accuracy, and step in to lead kiosk shifts independently
in the General Manager's absence.
● Systems Execution: Support the implementation of company operational
systems, opening/closing checklists, and training programs to maintain brand
consistency.
● Facilities Coordination: Monitor kiosk counters and coffee brewing equipment
to ensure total functionality; coordinate with leadership to address prompt
technical repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications
● Airport Badging: Must be able to successfully pass the required federal
background screening and fingerprinting process mandated by Denver
International Airport to secure and maintain a DEN airport badge.
● Experience: 2-4 years of progressive café, coffee shop, or restaurant
management/leadership experience required. Experience in a high-volume
airport kiosk, terminal market, or fast-casual travel environment is strongly
preferred.
● Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, cross-train, and motivate a fast-moving
team while inspiring individual accountability.

● Operational Standards: Strong knowledge of customer service, register/POS
systems, cash-handling procedures, food safety, and airport-specific operational
regulations.

scheduling, tracking product waste, and managing inventory stock levels.
● Availability: Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends,
and holidays to manage multi-shift airport kiosk operations.

Reporting Structure
Reports to the General Manager / Senior General Manager. Directly supervises the
kiosk hourly barista team and supports overall kiosk restaurant leadership.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
● This is a hands-on leadership role requiring extended periods of standing,
walking long distances across airport terminals, and active movement within a
compact kiosk environment.
● Must be able to bend, reach, lift up to 50 lbs., and actively manage the physical
demands of multi-shift airport operations.
● Work environments include public terminal walkways, walk-in coolers, dry
storage zones, and the immediate interior kiosk space.
