Overview:

Krispy Krunchy Foods is seeking a highly skilled Marketing Communications Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. This role requires expert-level writing capabilities for creating effective internal and external communications including press releases, headlines, articles, white papers, emails, internal memos, and presentations. The ideal candidate will have exceptional proofreading and editing skills to ensure all materials meet high-quality standards. The role also demands expert proficiency in building professional and visually engaging presentations in PowerPoint. Experience in using Canva, or other design software, to create graphics for communication documents is critical. Candidates with a journalism background are preferred. 

Location: Remote (Eastern Time Zone, USA) 

Key Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the Director, this role will develop and maintain a consistent and compelling comms strategy and messaging matrix that resonates with our team members, operators, suppliers, and guests. 
  • The primary responsibility will be creating and distributing clear, concise, and persuasive internal communications materials including newsletters, memos, and announcements to keep team members and operators informed about company news, initiatives, and events. 
  • Execute other writing assignments as directed such as press releases, headlines, articles, white papers, emails, social media copy, and marketing materials. 
  • Craft compelling headlines and messaging aligned with brand tone and strategy. 
  • Edit and proofread marketing copy for clarity, grammar and brand consistency. 
  • Create visually appealing and professional presentations using PowerPoint to support marketing, sales, and leadership teams. 
  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to ensure alignment on messaging and presentation style. 
  • Manage the “in the news” section of the company's website to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available to the public. 
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines. 
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work culture by organizing internal events, workshops, and surveys to gather feedback and improve communication channels

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Loves fried chicken. 
  • Proven experience in copywriting across various formats (internal communications, PR, advertisements, branded content, social media, etc.). 
  • Expert-level writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail. 
  • Expert-level user of Microsoft PowerPoint. 
  • Experience with design tools such as Canva.  
  • Proficiency in crafting professional, visually appealing PowerPoint presentations. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. 
  • Ability to adapt writing style for different audiences and platforms. 
  • Creative, collaborative, and able to work well under pressure. 
  • Minimum of five years in consumer facing retail, restaurant, c-store, or other B2C environment.  
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university with Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising or English required. 

 

Expectations:

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation skills appropriate to a diverse audience. 
  • Experience in journalism, communications, or advertising required. 
  • Familiarity with content management systems and marketing automation tools. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with communication tools and platforms (Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.). 
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Constant Contact. 
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com is preferred. 
  • Experience in the convenience store, QSR, or restaurant industry a benefit. 
  • High familiarity with Canva required. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus, but not mandatory. 
  • Creative thinking and the ability to develop innovative communication strategies.

Organizational Alignment: Reports to the Director of Brand Marketing 

Compensation: Candidate will have a base salary competitive to market rates and will have a very competitive bonus structure directly tied to specific performance goals and increasing the profits and overall growth for the stores.

80,000 - 95,000
