We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam\u0027s business. \n\n## The impact you\u2019ll make\n\nLam\u2019s Materials Manager manages a team of Materials Program and Project Managers through all stages of product development, from R\u0026D to volume manufacturing, to ensure PDR (product development and release) deliverables are completed with high quality and within program timelines. You\u2019ll work in a cross-functional team environment within a matrix organization with internal customers, including high\u2011level executives.\n\nYou are the point of contact for all escalations from the Product Group to Supply Chain and the liaison between Engineering Product Management and Supply Chain functional organizations. The Materials Manager hires, manages, and develops Materials Program and Project Managers for NPI programs. This role is responsible for the organizational and individual development of all direct reports within Lam\u2019s performance management program.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\nMaterials Program Manager prescribed responsibilities as outlined in Lam\u2019s design process:\n\n * Develop cost\u2011reduction roadmaps to meet product\u2011cost targets.\n * Work with Supply Chain to develop sourcing strategies and plans to meet cost and lead\u2011time targets.\n * Transition to high\u2011volume deliverables (Pilot to High Volume).\n * Supplier ramp\u2011readiness assessments, critical\u2011parts management, lead\u2011time reduction, and mitigation plans.\n * Project\u2011services management. \nManage and lead the team to resolve material shortages and enable new\u2011part introduction for Pilot builds.\n\n\n\n## Who we\u2019re looking for\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required, with 4\u20136 years of supervisory experience.\n * Six years of program\u2011management experience.\n * Minimum of 4 years of experience directly managing others.\n * Basic knowledge of manufacturing methods and commodities related to cost structures.\n * Supply\u2011chain knowledge for critical commodities related to sourcing decisions and cost strategies.\n * Demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking, and attention to detail for day\u2011to\u2011day tactical execution.\n * Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills are required.\n * Semiconductor industry and Dep/Etch equipment product knowledge are beneficial.\n * Must be willing and able to travel up to 20% (domestic and international).\n\n\n\n## Our commitment\n\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories \u2013 On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. \u2018On-site Flex\u2019 you\u2019ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. \u2018Virtual Flex\u2019 you\u2019ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.\n\n#LI-YS1\n\nSalary\n\nCA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $146,000.00 - $270,000.00.\n\nThe above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
