Job Description - Manager of Investor Relations & Corporate Development


Description



Manager of Investor Relations & Corporate Development plays a key role in supporting the Company’s external narrative, strengthening investor confidence, and supporting ongoing corporate development activity. This role serves as a partner of the CEO, Head of Strategy and the CFO, ensuring the Company’s investment vision is clearly articulated, consistently communicated, and aligned with business strategy and operating reality. 
 
This person is responsible for executing core investor relations activities while partnering closely with Strategy, Finance, and executive leadership to support capital allocation priorities, market positioning, and corporate development initiatives. The ultimate objective of this role is to ensure the market understands us, trusts us, and values us appropriately through disciplined storytelling, proactive engagement, and flawless execution. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Support the development and maintenance of a clear and consistent investment thesis aligned with company strategy
  • Assist in executing the investor relations plan, including messaging, materials, and engagement activities
  • Develop content for investor presentations, earnings materials, and other external communications
  • Help articulate key value drivers, growth strategy, capital allocation priorities, and risks
  • Ensure consistency across investor-facing materials, disclosures, and executive messaging
  • Support the quarterly earnings process, including preparation of materials, scripts, and Q&A
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs from Finance, Legal, and Strategy to ensure alignment
  • Assist in maintaining strong disclosure discipline and adherence to public company requirements
  • Support relationship management with institutional investors, analysts, and prospective shareholders
  • Help coordinate investor meetings, conferences, and engagement cadence
  • Track and summarize investor feedback and market sentiment
  • Monitor peer performance, valuation trends, and investor sentiment
  • Translate external market feedback into clear insights for Finance and Strategy leadership
  • Identify emerging perception gaps or risks and elevate as appropriate
  • Support corporate development initiatives, including M&A evaluation, strategic analysis, and materials preparation
  • Assist in developing messaging related to strategic transactions and growth initiatives
  • Help ensure external communications reflect strategic priorities and long-term value creation
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Legal, Strategy, and Operations to ensure alignment between business performance and external messaging
  • Support internal communication alignment where needed to ensure consistency between internal and external narratives
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in Investor Relations, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Equity Research, or related field
  • Experience in a publicly traded company environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting executive leadership and Board-level communications
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Experience supporting or leading corporate development / M&A initiatives
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and strategic analysis capabilities
  • Industry experience in mining, energy, manufacturing, or asset-intensive sectors
  • CPA, CFA, MBA or equivalent experience preferred

  • Ability to translate complex financial and strategic concepts into clear messaging

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving public company environment
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs
 
WORKING CONDITIONS, PHYSICAL DEMANDS & TRAVEL 
Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Incumbents must be able to perform work that requires typing, reading, communicating, sitting for prolonged periods of time, standing, and walking.   
The employee: 
  • Is regularly required to use hands to type, touch, handle, or feel 
  • Is frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms 
  • Is occasionally required to walk and climb or balance 
  • May occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds 
 
When the incumbent visits an operations worksite, personal protective equipment including but not limited to head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame-resistant clothing may be required.  
 
Travel is expected approximately 5%–10% to operating locations in Utah and New Mexico. 
 
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 
Targeted salary range for this position is $140,000 - $175,000 annually. Salary commensurate with experience and skill set.
