Position Overview:
The Manager of Logistics will be responsible for managing a team of professionals and overseeing all aspects of logistics operations for DMA Industries. The successful candidate will have experience managing inbound transportation, local truck drivers, and a Free Trade Zone (FTZ). This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all logistics operations run smoothly and that goods are picked up and delivered in a timely, efficient manner, in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the DMA Industries Logistics team, including Inbound/Outbound Freight, Receiving, and DMA Trucks, ensuring compliance with all DMA policies and procedures.
- Plan and coordinate inbound transportation to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Lead the annual Ocean Freight RFQ process and manage logistics provider relationships (carriers, customs brokers).
- Develop and communicate schedules for DMA-owned truck pick-up and deliveries.
- Ensure FTZ compliance and accurate reporting to Customs and Border Patrol.
- Provide weekly ocean freight rate reports and projections for future trends.
- Maintain all import/export documentation for audit purposes.
- Provide ad hoc freight quotes for air, ocean, and domestic shipments.
- Monitor logistics performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, transportation costs, and inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal logistics regulations.
- Continuously evaluate logistics operations, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Recommend strategic logistics initiatives for DMA Industries.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field; equivalent relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3–5 years of experience in supply chain and logistics operations
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with customs compliance and government regulatory agencies
- 2–3 years of proven experience managing and leading a team to achieve departmental or organizational goals

- Strong team management abilities, capable of overseeing complex and diverse teams
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to manage and deliver on multiple, complex projects simultaneously
- Proven experience in providing strategic analysis and recommendations to Senior Management
Other:
- Exempt associates are salaried, with compensation intended to cover all hours worked, including any hours worked in excess of 40 in a workweek. For exempt associates, casual or required overtime outside of normal business hours is not compensable. When extra efforts, whether occasional or ongoing, are required, it is expected that exempt associates will consider this additional time as part of their professional relationship with the company, extending their efforts without additional compensation.

Physical Requirements:
This role is primarily office-based with occasional visits to the distribution center (DC) as needed. The physical demands listed below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
- Mobility: Ability to move about a professional office setting and periodically navigate warehouse environments, including walking on concrete floors, climbing stairs, and traversing between warehouse areas and office spaces.
- Standing and Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for short durations during DC visits (typically 1–2 hours at a time).
- Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally may need to lift or carry items such as laptop computers, training materials, or small office supplies up to 15 pounds.
- Posture and Motion: Frequent sitting for extended periods at a computer workstation; occasional reaching, bending, and stooping when accessing file drawers or office supplies.
- Vision and Hearing: Adequate visual and auditory acuity for computer use, report review, and verbal communication in both quiet office and moderate-noise warehouse environments.
- Work Environment: While office work is conducted in a climate-controlled environment, occasional DC visits may involve exposure to varying temperatures, moderate noise, and active warehouse operations.
