Manager of Medicare Sales and Retention

Community Health Plan of Imperial Valley (CHPIV) is Imperial County's Medi-Cal managed care plan. We are a locally managed public health care plan committed to working with members, providers, and the residents of Imperial County.

As we continue to build something great, we are looking for a Manager of Medicare Sales and Retention

Our next team member will do the following:

• By understanding the Medicare landscape and population in Imperial County, develops the Medicare sales structure and plan to achieve the organization’s Medicare enrollment targets while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. 
• Coaches, mentors, educates, motivates, trains, and manages an internal sales team including being responsible for the development and execution of training, incentive and performance monitoring programs.
• Develops and implements a Medicare member retention program and corresponding reporting to demonstrate program effectiveness.
• Works collaboratively with the marketing & communications team to develop budgets and campaigns to achieve Medicare enrollment targets.
• Works collaboratively with the Medicare team to develop Medicare benefits that are attractive to the market. Establishes specific goals for assigned areas of responsibility in line with strategic objectives.
• Works collaboratively with the provider team to ensure office staff have information about CHPIV’s Medicare program.
• Represents the scope of Medicare sales across the organization and in regulatory audits. Works with the compliance team to satisfactorily resolve any regulatory inquiries. 
• Monitors industry information and the competitive environment of the marketplace to position CHPIV's strengths appropriately.

You may be right for this job if you have the following:

• Extensive knowledge of Medicare sales and member retention.
• Active State of California Health Insurance License
• 5+ years of Medicare sales experience. 
• 5+ years of management experience.
• Knowledge of and experience with state and federal insurance programs, preferred.
• Familiarity with appropriate local, state, and federal provider network-related regulations.
• Experience with CMS provider network requirements including network adequacy processes.
