The Manager or Project Management is responsible for developing time and resource schedules, organizing actions, directing and leading assigned projects to ensure that the projects are effectively executed to budget and to schedule.  Acts as key interface between Product managers and cross functional teams.  Recommends priorities for specific teams based on resources and timing. Communicates status to leadership team. 

The ideal candidate for a Project Management Manager would be able to do the following:

1. Effectively manage and utilize project manager resources through established standards and best practices to support Alto-Shaam’s growth objectives & NPD projects
2. Identify training and support needed to ensure that project managers have correct tools to do their tasks
3. Lead, coach and mentor team for additional responsibilities within Alto-Shaam
4. Communicate status to upper management on objectives
5. Preparation of the project plan, assists with managing the plan and develops and implements project tasks
6. Maintains accurate and up to date records of project status, changes and other control records necessary for completing both internal and external tasks.
7. Manages the NPD (New Product Development) process, including setting up team meetings, project schedules and action plans.
8. Facilitates team meetings, records, distributes meeting minutes, and reports out any delays to the appropriate functional lead.
9. Identifies potential project risks and assists to develop/implement strategies to minimize impact and develop and implement strategies for controlling deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
10. Proactively communicates project schedules, project change proposals and related project activities on a regular basis with product manager and project team and on occasion upper management.  Effectively communicates project requirements to project team, and maintains accurate and up to date records of project status, changes, and other control records necessary for implementation of NPD projects.
11. Manage projects as needed; this includes the full range of project management responsibilities listed above
12. Obtain market segment knowledge by attend tradeshows, traveling with Sales team, participating in customer meetings.

Education and Skills Required

• Minimum two-year technical degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Previous project management experience preferred
• Experience in the food service industry a plus
• Previous supervisory experience desired.
• Basic project management experience in a technical environment
• Strong Microsoft Project (or equivalent), Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
