Job Description - Manager of Quality and Process Improvement

VEKA East, Inc. | Burke County, NC


VEKA East, Inc., part of VEKA North America and the family-owned global VEKA Group, is a growing manufacturing facility in Burke County, NC seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality assurance, ISO 9001 compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is a key member of the Operations Leadership Team with strong career growth potential.


You will oversee the Quality Management System (QMS), lead the quality team, and partner with Production, Engineering, and Operations to ensure customer requirements and quality standards are consistently met. This position is ideal for a hands-on quality leader with a background in manufacturing, process improvement, and statistical analysis.


This role is ideal for a leader who challenges the status quo, thrives in a growing facility, and sees quality as a strategic advantage—not a checklist.


Responsibilities


· Manage and continuously improve the Quality Management System (ISO 9001)


· Lead Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities


· Drive continuous improvement, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)


· Analyze manufacturing processes using SPC, Minitab, or QI Macros


· Manage non-conformances, audits, defect tracking, and quality reporting


· Interface with customers and suppliers on quality and reliability issues


· Implement and maintain supplier quality management programs


· Lead, train, and develop the Quality Department team


· Support warranty investigations and root cause analysis


· Travel as required


Qualifications


· Strong background in manufacturing quality systems


· Experience leading cross-functional teams in a production environment


· Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and SPC


· Self-driven, detail-oriented, and improvement focused


Education & Experience


· Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or Quality + 3 years experience OR


· Associate degree + 8 years manufacturing quality experience


· Project Management experience preferred
