The Manager of Rehabilitation Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and clinical performance of the rehabilitation department, which includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. This leadership role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
The Manager plays a key role in staff supervision, departmental organization, and interdepartmental collaboration, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and compassion. This position supports the hospitals mission by promoting safe, efficient, and effective rehabilitation services in both acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings.
Oversee day-to-day departmental operations, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality patient care.
Supervise and support clinical staff, including physical, occupational, and speech therapists.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
Promote a collaborative, respectful, and culturally sensitive approach to patient and family care.
Foster effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
Support departmental initiatives focused on quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and staff development.
Demonstrate proactive leadership by identifying opportunities for process and service improvements.
Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech-language pathology.
At least two (2) years of supervisory or management experience with increasing responsibilities.
Graduate of an accredited therapy program with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in the applicable discipline.
Current California licensure in one of the following: Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Experience in an acute care hospital or acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting
