Manager, Pregnancy Counseling and Newborn Adoption

Full-time position available for Manager, Pregnancy Counseling and Newborn Adoption. This position provides management and oversight of pregnancy case managers in addition to developing initiatives, building relationships within the community, and promoting the program. The Program Manager provides direct services as adoption case manager and through a small caseload of pregnancy counseling clients, providing backup for the Pregnancy Case Manager. Position coordinates and assesses requests for pregnancy-related services and assists clients with implementing a plan for parenting or adoption through assessment, counseling, and connection to community resources.

To be effective in this role, the preferred candidate must possess:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


• The ability to act as an ambassador to promote vital adoption, pregnancy, and parenting services within the community


• An understanding of and ability to work with an open adoption philosophy


• Cultural awareness, sensitivity, and maturity in working with infertile adoptive families


• The ability to promote pregnancy and adoption services that promote pro-life solutions based on the principles of Catholic social teaching

Master’s in social work with LMSW or LBSW preferred; Bachelor’s degree in social work required, Working knowledge of Michigan adoption law and the ability to work effectively with Probate Court-Juvenile Division is highly preferred.

Total compensation includes benefit, and retirement plans with employer contribution, monthly phone stipend, paid time off and a generous paid holiday schedule which includes the week between Christmas and New Year’s.

This position qualifies for a $1,250 Welcome Bonus (some restrictions apply).
