Responsibilities
- Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for the manufacturing of autonomous surface vessels, considering factors such as production capacity, material availability, and project timelines
- Resource Allocation: Coordinate with department heads to allocate human resources, equipment, and facilities effectively to meet production targets while optimizing efficiency and minimizing downtime
- Material Planning and Procurement: Collaborate with the Material Planning Team to forecast material requirements based on production schedules and coordinate timely procurement to ensure uninterrupted production flow
- Production Coordination: Act as a central point of contact between various departments involved in the production process, including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure alignment and smooth execution of production plans
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement within the production and supply chain operations, implementing best practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor production progress against schedules, identify deviations or bottlenecks, and proactively implement corrective actions. Prepare regular reports on production performance, key metrics, and KPIs for management review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., APICS, CPIM) preferred
- Experience in production scheduling, planning, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or defense industry environment
- Strong understanding of production planning principles, inventory management techniques, and supply chain concepts
- Proficiency in using ERP systems, manufacturing software, and scheduling tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Project)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality, coupled with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
