Roles and Responsibilities:
Manages the development and preparation of the Annual Rail Operating Budget, including detailed support, financial and operating analysis and financial management reporting systems.
Formulates the development of quantitative and qualitative analysis to adequately support the Rail Operating Budget, and provides appropriate explanation of the financial status to Senior Rail Management.
Manages the monitoring of actual performance against budget and the provision of specific details; makes recommendations to upper management.
Manages the development and implementation of new and updated database systems and concepts to better accomplish job related activities and measure performance.
Supervises, trains and counsels assigned staff. Delegates assignments and ensures accurate and timely completion of work assignments.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related area, from a
Department of Education accredited college or university, and a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience, including managerial experience overseeing employees engaged in finance/budget activities in a corporate, public sector, or not for profit/non-profit environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access required.
One year of closely related work experience can be substituted for each year of education required.
