Reports to: Director, Cultivation
Position Overview:
The Regional Cultivation Manager (the “RCM”) is responsible for guiding the day-to-day functions of cultivation production in multiple facilities in support of the overall success of the assigned region. This includes: providing guidance to cultivation managers, supervisors and technicians; ensuring that all processes, training requirements, plant schedules, policies and procedures are followed, and that cultivation production goals are met. Provides leadership for plant care in all stages of life-cycle cannabis growth to include germination, vegetative, flowering and harvest. The RCM also works directly with the Director, Cultivation to support national cultivation goals and responsibilities.
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
• Oversees all regional cultivation tasks and processes, ensures proper documentation of all applicable activities in accordance with the State and standards set by The Cannabist Company.
• Plans with the facility manager and cultivation manager from each site to; coordinate, and oversee the transition of vegetation, bloom and harvest by ensuring the proper tasks are executed and the environmental conditions support the cultivation of superior product quality.
• Responsible for providing guidance to cultivation leadership staff, and monitoring cultivation processes, and SOP adherence.
• Serves as a resource to cultivation staff providing information, training, direction, and guidance to accomplish established individual, departmental and company objectives.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining current SOPs, monitoring industry news, and adjusting to changes in regulations after coordination with the Director, Cultivation and pertinent regulatory council.
• Responsible for supporting cultivation leadership and harvest technicians to ensure successful maintenance and compliance within the cultivation facilities.
• Coordinates with the management team to ensure accurate information is communicated to the cultivation staff.
• Coach, develop, and mentor cultivation teams as necessary.
• Ensure proper health and safety practices are followed in the cultivation production area.
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
• All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree in plant biology, physiology, biological sciences, or agricultural sciences preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of plant cultivation and cultivation facility operation methods.
• 4 years of experience in a position with team management responsibilities.
• Demonstrates excellent multi-tasking, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Experience in a position requiring critical-thinking, problem-solving, planning and assessment.
• Knowledge of medical cannabis policy and law.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
• Proficiency in windows-based software and point of sale applications.
Regional travel: 30-40%, frequent presence onsite in facilities within area of responsibility
Other travel: <10%, support other markets as coverage is needed
FLSA status: Exempt
Expected Salary: $80K - $100K + 10% bonus. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of The Cannabist's total compensation and competitive benefits package, 401(k) w/ match, paid time off and comprehensive health and wellness benefits.
Location: This position can be located in any of the states in which The Cannabist Company operates: DE, MA, MD, NJ, NY, OH, PA, IL, CO, CA, VA, WV

• This job requires frequent mobility in manufacturing facilities. The ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds, bend, reach, and perform manual tasks may also be required.
