Job Description - Manager, Regulatory & Strategic Programs

Come join us at Terrestrial Energy, a US developer of advanced, Generation IV nuclear reactors.  We are growing our workforce to develop and deploy our Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR) small modular nuclear plant to provide cost-competitive, clean firm heat and power to industry.


 


The Company has recently completed a merger creating a publicly listed operating company  (NASDAQ “IMSR”), to secure the capital resources for our next growth phase.  With the current alignment of US Federal and State government, as well as industry interest in Small Modular Reactor (SMR) and advanced reactor technologies such as Terrestrial Energy’s IMSR, there is today a unique and compelling opportunity to participate in the execution of the company’s growth business plan.

The Manager, Regulatory & Strategic Programs, under the direction of the Vice President Business Development & Project Management, is primarily responsible for supporting regulatory and enterprise‑level strategic initiatives related to deployment of the Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR). This role provides coordination, integration, and reporting support across licensing, strategic planning, project execution, and governance in a highly regulated nuclear environment. The role works closely with Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Legal, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment with IMSR deployment objectives.



Other responsibilities include:





    • Coordinate activities supporting nuclear licensing, regulatory engagement, and compliance milestones

    • Track regulatory commitments, deliverables, schedules, and dependencies across internal teams and external stakeholders

    • Maintain regulatory and strategic program documentation in accordance with nuclear quality assurance requirements

    • Support preparation of regulatory correspondence, briefing materials, and executive‑level summaries

    • Support governance forums, steering committees, and strategic reviews, including agendas, materials, and action‑item tracking

    • Ensure alignment between regulatory activities and IMSR deployment execution plans

    • Monitor program risks, issues, and milestones; escalate concerns as appropriate

    Requirements



    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, Nuclear Technology, or related field

    • Minimum 7 years’ experience supporting programs in a regulated industry (nuclear, energy, aerospace, or defense preferred)

    • Experience coordinating complex, multi‑disciplinary initiatives

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences

    • Strong organizational, documentation, and time‑management skills



    Assets



    • PMI certification (PMP® or CAPM®)

    • Experience supporting nuclear regulatory or licensing programs

    • Familiarity with advanced reactor technologies or FOAK deployment initiatives

    • Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance and compliance frameworks

    • Experience supporting executive‑level governance or strategic planning activities
