Responsible for supplier quality risk management - implementing proactive supplier performance management strategy. Develops and implements supplier quality evaluation and control systems. Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list and periodically reviews supplier performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the approved list. Manages supplier requests for waivers, deviations, and requirement changes. Establishes strong working relationships with stakeholders across programs and functional organizations. Coordinates and oversees supplier quality plan implementation through all program phases. Manages implementation of Supplier Quality processes, including supplier approval activities, source selection evaluations, supplier classification designation (critical, key, and transactional), development and execution of supplier quality risk assessments and mitigation plans, and supplier quality requirements development and flow-downs. Builds and maintains a high-performing team, supporting the professional development of team members. Provides manpower forecast plans for the team, and conducts basis of estimate (BoE) for SPM activities in support of new program proposals. Provides clear assignments, helping team members connect their efforts to the bigger picture. Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, business, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or other related discipline and 8+ years of relevant work experience in disciplines such as quality, program management, supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing or Master's Degree in an engineering, business, operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or other related discipline and 6+ years of relevant work experience in disciplines such as quality, program management, supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing 3+ years of experience leading teams and/or projects Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance. US Citizenship Required. Experience with ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System certification process Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering Previous operations and quality background Previous roles demonstrating progressive and increased leadership responsibilities Previous earned value management experience Master's Degree in an engineering or management field Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt ASQ Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), Quality Engineer (CQE), and/or Quality Auditor (CQA)
