The Talent Management Manager leads the team responsible for designing and executing strategic and core talent processes and programs, including performance management, talent review and succession planning, leadership development, and learning administration.
This role ensures global consistency, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement for these core talent management processes and programs. Additionally, the manager will support organizational effectiveness initiatives through assessments, team development solutions, and change enablement activities. The incumbent will use their skills to work across the enterprise and specific departments to identify needs and apply best practices.
The manager will provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, development, workload prioritization, and performance management for their team members. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Talent Management, and works closely with the Director of Talent. As a member of the HR Leadership team, this leader will collaborate with HR leaders, HR business partners, business leaders, associate resource groups, and third-party consultants.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Organization Talent Review and Succession Planning
Leads the execution and implementation of the talent review and succession planning processes required to identify and develop an internal bench of top talent.
Manages and shares enterprise talent review and succession data regarding the state of leadership talent and other key talent indicators.
Provides guidance and coaching to talent leads and specialists so that they may be better equipped to support HR business partners and execute the processes within their functions.
Partners with HR to track enterprise high-potential development plans.
Leadership & Organization Development
Manages the delivery and ongoing effectiveness of leadership development programs spanning broad leader expectations to targeted, succession-based development experiences.
Oversees needs analysis work to ensure that leadership development programs and resources are aligned to drive strategic outcomes and desired leadership behaviors
Leads implementation and administration of the enterprise leadership assessment portfolio.
Governs and sustains coaching methodologies to fit individual and organizational development needs in partnership with external vendors.
Provides input and manages other organizational development solutions based on business strategy and targeted leadership behaviors.
Sustains and manages the communication, education, and resources of the Swagelok Competency Model
Leads administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of learning technology solutions, including LMS, LXP, AI-enabled learning tools, and skills-based development resources.
Global Performance, Development and Onboarding
Ensures execution of the annual performance management and development planning process, including the timeline, communication, training, system, and standards of performance and development evaluation.
Monitors and reports on global, enterprise performance management and development planning results.
Miscellaneous
Manages vendor relationships and tracks budget for talent programs and solutions.
Leads or participates in projects as prioritized in areas such as Talent Management, Culture and Engagement, and HR Operations.
Influences across a range of levels and disciplines as a trusted subject matter expert
As a leader, you are expected to know, enforce, and appropriately escalate all Swagelok associate policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Required:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Business or Technology, or related field
Experience: 10 years minimum professional experience in HR, training, talent management, employee engagement, or other related field. Experience must include designing and delivering talent management programs in a large organization, and at least 2 years of formal leadership experience.
Demonstrated capability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and present to senior leaders
Can develop collaborative relationships and influence across the organization at all levels
Ability to understand business strategies, customer focus, and organizational dynamics
Demonstrated experience in performance management, leadership development and/or associate engagement
Be results-driven, an innovative and creative problem solver
Systems thinker; understanding of cause-and-effect relationships between business and talent strategies
Ability to manage and work effectively within a matrix organization – effectively managing cross-functional projects and processes, understanding stakeholder implications, and appropriately prioritizing work
Preferred:
Education: Master’s Degree in Organizational Development, Business
Experience: Experience with the following technology is preferred:
SAP SuccessFactors (Goals, Performance, Succession, and LMS)
Microsoft applications (Viva Learning, Glint, Pulse, Copilot, PowerBI)
